Departure Times & Seasonality
Season: Operates annually during whale shark season (October through April/May).
Meeting Point: Please arrive at Marina de La Paz 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Free street parking is available outside the marina gate.
Departure Timing: Flexible morning departures are available (early departure recommended to arrive before the crowds). Exact times depend on official daily park entrance slots assigned by marine authorities and will be confirmed via WhatsApp prior to your trip.
Leaving the marina, we cruise through the scenic Bay of La Paz, keeping an eye out for dolphins and local marine life along the way. Depending on our official permit entry time, we'll tailor the order of your day—either starting with the whale sharks or heading out to the sea lions first.
On our 40-minute run across the bay, we visit iconic coastal landmarks, including Mushroom Rock and Isla Gaviota to spot nesting blue-footed boobies. You'll swim alongside a lively local colony of 40 to 50 sea lions, snorkel with giant, gentle whale sharks in their natural habitat, and anchor at famous Balandra Bay for a beachfront ceviche lunch with plenty of time to relax in the shallow turquoise waters.
